6MR history

From Modern

to Classic

[vc_empty_space height=”1.2em” alter_height=”none” hide_on_mobile=””][vc_wp_text]For more than a hundred years, the 6MJI series has been a symbol of technological progress and advanced sailing.

Present at the Olympic Games for many years, it was then the antechamber of the America’s Cup when it was raced in 12MJI, gathering all the stars of the sail from Dennis Conner to Paul Cayard.

Even now, this rule is still the object of much interest and for the last three years, six new boats have been built according to the plans of the most prominent architects.

The year 2021 saw two Challenge Léman boats take the first two places in the European Championship in Sanxenxo (ES) which brought together 11 nationalities.

In 2022, two Challenge Lemanique boats took the first two places at the World Championship, MOMO and JUNIOR.
